Explore New Opportunities?
The ?wonder? materials promised by nanotechnology are at last appearing in the commercial world, and they are solving real-world problems in the transport and other engineering sectors. The higher visibility consumer products such as polishes, glass treatments and colour change paints are only the tip of the iceberg. Nanofilled polymers and resins, and nanostructured ceramics and coatings offer higher performance and/or additional functionality such as wear and erosion resistance, light-weighting, reduced friction, toughening, UV resistance, corrosion control, aesthetic enhancement. A key area is the hidden but important area of finding alternatives for toxic materials.
The HiPerNano 2010 conference, exhibition, and poster presentations will showcase new scientific and commercial developments alongside far-sighting by industry professionals on challenges yet to be addressed.
NanoKTN, in collaboration with Cranfield University, presents the follow-on to the highly successful HiPerNano 2008. This is an important event for strategy makers, engineers, designers, researchers and technology providers. The event will provide the opportunity for:
