The Three Strands Of Success: Technology, Investment and Engagement
The Lancaster London Hotel, Lancaster Terrace, London W2 2TY
From 27 April 2010 To 28 April 2010
This key event will provide a unique platform for delegates to learn and share knowledge of the recent successes and future endeavours of the aerospace industry in creating wealth and economic strength for UK plc, as well as developing the technologies of the future.
As the UK economy emerges from the recent recession, all sectors have been encouraged to innovate to catalyse the recovery. It is in this instance that the National Aerospace Technology Strategy (NATS), driven by industry and endorsed by Government, is proving to be the most valuable since its creation in 2003. The NATS is focusing UK capability on short and mid-term opportunities within the global aerospace market, evolving and fluxing to reflect the changing socio-economic backdrop of the modern world.
The NATS is underpinned by work carried out by the 12 National Technical Committees (NTCs), and at the Aerospace & Defence KTN 2010 Conference they are gathered together for the first time. They will be sharing their methodologies, successes, and examples of the technology roadmaps, technology themes and programmes they have identified as critical to the UK?s innovation future.
To help enable collaborative programmes, and particularly technologies being developed by UK SMEs, the Aerospace & Defence KTN has assembled a volley of speakers from various streams of investment, both public and private, available to UK industry.
The Aerospace & Defence KTN has witnessed some of the biggest successes in areas perhaps unexpected; indeed, the technologies developed within our sector often find themselves the perfect area of application in a completely different sector, and vice versa. Our final set of speakers will regale these success stories and the benefits, challenges and methods of broader engagement and communication with other sectors.
