The explosive growth of data production in recent years caused by the progress in various research domains and computing technologies brings the humankind to the petascale era. This incredibly fast change in computer performance and data storage affects all aspects of our life including science, knowledge, arts and entertainment.
We could be facing challenges of transition to exa to zeta to yottascale data much sooner than previously anticipated.
This workshop will seek to hear from academics in the life and environmental sciences and the users of informatics in industry as to what technologies they need to progress their research. We also have opportunities for companies to showcase new products and technologies - please email for details.
